AAVP-7 or AAV-7 (English: AND mphibious Assault Vehicle) is a modern American armored personnel carrier. The first prototypes of the vehicle were created in the early 1970s, and serial production began in 1972. The vehicle is equipped with a Detroit diesel engine 8V-53T or Cummins VTA-525 with a capacity of 400 hp. The vehicle is armed with an automatic grenade launcher Mk. 19 caliber 40 mm and a single machine gun M2NV caliber 12.7 mm.
