"Bergepanther" full designation "Armored repair and evacuation vehicle "Panther" - German armored repair and evacuation vehicle (BREM) of the period of World War II. According to the German departmental system of designations of military equipment, the vehicle bore the index Sd.Kfz.179. It was created in March-June 1943 on the chassis of the medium tank Pz.Kpfw.V "Panther" and was intended for the evacuation of heavy armored vehicles, such as the "Panther" itself and the "Tiger".
