The M4 Sherman is an American medium tank of World War II. The first prototypes were built in 1941, and serial production was carried out between 1942 and 1945. In total, about 49,000 copies of this tank of all modifications were created, which makes it one of the most mass-produced tanks of World War II and the most important tank in equipping the Allied armies during this conflict. The M4 Sherman was equipped with a single-engine version of the M4A1. Continental P 975 C4 with a capacity of 400 hp. The vehicle was armed - depending on the version - with one 75-mm gun M3 or 76-mm gun M1 or 105-mm howitzer M4 and two 7.62-mm Browning 1919A machine guns.
