-RAL 7001 Silbergrau was used as the lower surface color of German Luftwaffe aircraft after World War II according to Norm 62 and Norm 72 schemes, the upper surfaces according to these schemes should be painted in RAL 7012 Basaltgrau and RAL 6014 Gelboliv.
-RAL 7001 Silbergrau together with RAL 7009 Grüngrau were used to paint the lower surfaces according to the Luftwaffe Norm 81 multicolored camouflage scheme. The upper surfaces, according to this scheme, should be painted in RAL 7012 Basaltgrau, RAL 7037 Staubgrau, RAL 7039 Quarzgrau, RAL 7009 Grüngrau , and the sides of the fuselage - in RAL 7030 Steingrau.
-RAL 7001 Silbergrau is the modern equivalent of Hellgrau 50, which was used to paint the superstructures of Kriegsmarine warships in the pre-WWII and early war period.
