Ready-made diorama 1/35 Leopard 2A6 tank in service with Mariupol Armed Forces 1102057

The diorama is made to order within one month.

Leopard 2 (Ukrainian: Леопард 2) is a German main battle tank of the third generation. Developed by Krauss-Maffei in the 1970s, it entered service in 1979 to replace the previous Leopard 1 as the main tank of the West German ground forces.

Various versions are used by the armed forces of Germany and 13 other European countries, as well as several non-European countries, including Canada, Chile, Indonesia and Singapore. Leopard 2 was used by the German army in Kosovo, the Dutch, Danish and Canadian armies in Afghanistan, as part of the International Security Assistance Force, and is also used by the Turkish army in combat operations in Syria. After long diplomatic efforts and a period of hesitation, at the end of January 2023, permits were obtained for the supply of tanks of various modifications to Ukraine.

The Leopard 2A6 has a new 120mm Rheinmetall L55 smoothbore gun and other changes. All German tank battalions of the so-called "crisis intervention forces" are equipped with A6 tanks. Canada has ordered 20 Leopard 2A6s from the Netherlands. They were delivered in 2007. Portugal also ordered 37 Leopard 2A6s from Denmark in 2007, with delivery in 2008. In January 2014, Finland ordered 100 L2A6s, as well as ammunition, simulators and spare parts for ten years from the Netherlands. Tanks will be delivered in batches in the period 2015-2019.
