Based on the experience of the First World War, the anti-tank concept of the Reichswehr, and then the Wehrmacht, provided for the creation of its own army of tank destroyers. In the Wehrmacht, however, it is not armored forces, but the development of assault artillery. Initially, these troops were equipped with anti-tank weapons. Later, with the first conclusions of the troops and the so-called tank crisis on the Eastern Front in 1941/42, losses increased dramatically and various tank destroyers were developed, such as the Marder III, for which this kit was designed.
