Anciens Chantiers Dubigeon (ACD) Nantes traditional trawler Volontaire (SM767) was launched in February 1950. She was armed with the Malo Trawler Association and her home port was Saint Malo in Brittany. The MARIE JEANNE was her sister ship, homeported at Concarneau. Very modern for the time, it was powered by a BW (Burmeister and Wain) 1100hp diesel engine. Originally intended for fishing from both sides, it was later modified to remove the trawl gallows from the port side. Decommissioned in the early 1970s, it was dismantled in Bilbao in March 1973.
