Lamborghini Murcielago is an Italian sports car that was first presented to the public in 2001 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Its serial production lasted from 2001 to 2010 and led to the creation of about 4,100 cars of this model. Production was concentrated at the plant in the city of Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy.
The Murcielago model was developed to replace the Lamborghini Diablo model, and its chief designer was Luc Dockerwolke. Compared to its predecessor, the new model received a significantly changed design of the body, especially its front part. The interior design of the salon has also changed. The power unit used to be a 12-cylinder engine, but it generated - in various variants - a large maximum power. Carbon fiber elements were also used on a much larger scale. In the production process, several variants of the base models were created, such as: LP 640, LP670 Super Volce or LP650 Roadster. The car - depending on the version - is able to accelerate to 342 km / h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is from 3.2 to 3.8 seconds!
