1/24 model car Vertex JZX100 Chaser Tourer V '98 Aoshima 05981
Toyota Chaser is a Japanese passenger car of the lower middle class (so-called compact car) and middle class, manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation, which was first presented to the general public in 1977. Its production began in the same year and lasted until 2001.
The Chaser model was developed and put into production in order to expand the commercial offer of the Toyota concern, as well as to strengthen its market position in the segment - first compact cars, and then middle class. The first generation of the Chaser model was very similar to the Corona and Crown models, and it also used the same components and mechanical elements. First, it was slightly different in size and style. In subsequent generations, this similarity did not disappear in a special way, but since 1980, the Toyota Chaser has been positioned as a middle-class car. It could be purchased in such body styles as, for example, a 4-door sedan or a 2-door hardtop. The latest, 6th generation Toyota Chaser went into production in 1996. In the sentence of the Toyota concern, it was replaced by the Verossa model.
