Collectible model of the Boeing B-707 airliner - Starter Kit Heller 56452 | 1:72

Boeing 707 was a four-engine, narrow-body, American-made low-flying aircraft. Drive was provided by four Pratt and Whitney JT3C or JT3D engines. The flight of the prototype took place in 1954, and serial production continued in the period 1958-1979. During this time, 1010 Boeing 707 aircraft were produced. At the time of the appearance of efficient jet engines at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s, the Boeing company decided - on his own, huge financial risk - to develop the first jet airliner, which could also be offered to the US military aviation as an aircraft. tanker under the designation KS-135. The US Air Force showed great interest and placed an order. The same was the case with civil airlines, which, however, wanted to create a wider plane - this is how the Boeing 707 was created. In the course of serial production, several different modifications of the plane were created with different options for engines, etc. and more advanced avionics. Depending on the version, the Boeing 707 could take from 141 to 189 passengers. Based on the fuselage of the Boeing 707, several military modifications were also created (for example, the E-3 Sentry or the E-6 Mercury), which, however, were clearly modified in relation to the civilian versions.
