The K70 is a four-door, front-engine, front-wheel-drive sedan developed by NSU Motorenwerke and sold from 1970 to 1975 under the Volkswagen brand, since Volkswagen acquired the NSU brand in 1969. VW K70L 481031 (1973) license 70-98-ZA pic4.JPG The car was developed by NSU chief engineer Wald Praxl and designer Klaus Lüthi in addition to the NSU Ro 80. It was the first Volkswagen with a front-mounted 1.6L water-cooled engine (75/90 hp) or 1.8 l (100 hp) and front-wheel drive. In the market, it competed with Volkswagen 411/412 and Audi 100, which affected sales, a total of 211,127 cars were produced.
