Citroen 2CV is a French passenger car from the so-called class of city cars, which was first presented to the general public in 1949. Its serial production began in the same year and lasted until 1990. This model has been produced for more than 40 years! It was held in several cities around the world, including Levallois-Perret in France, Liège in Belgium and Vigo in Spain. In total, about 3.9 million copies of this car were built.
The 2CV model was designed and put into production to conquer the city car segment for Citroen. It was based on robots and prototypes created by this concern shortly before the beginning of the Second World War. It was a light car, weighing about 590 kilograms, but relatively spacious inside, cheap to manufacture and operate, and also very simple in design. However, it had a fantastic suspension that provides high comfort when driving. It was offered in several body styles, including: a 2-door pickup truck, a 2-door mini-van or a 4-door sedan. The drive of the 2CV model has changed from a 0.4-liter engine with a power of only 9 hp. in a 0.6-liter engine with a capacity of 29 hp.
