Eduard 82122 British single-seat fighter Tempest Mk.V series 2 model

The actual kit contains a late version of the Tempest Mk. V. Its main external feature was the absence of the barrels of 20-mm Hispano Mk.II automatic guns protruding from the leading edges of the wings, since, starting with the hundredth copy, short-barreled Hispano Mk.V guns began to be installed on the aircraft of this series. Next, we draw your attention to the following fact: there are very serious doubts that during the war the concepts of Series I and Series II, describing the division of production batches into early and late ones, were really used. The fact is that these terms first appeared in 1957, and before that no one had heard of them.

Despite its reputation as the best weapon against V-1 missiles, and in general - a serious military career, this fighter has to some extent been deprived of the attention of manufacturers of prefabricated models. We will not mention ancient firewood, but its first adequate copy was created by the AMT company in 1979. Later, in 1997, Eduard took the initiative (and did not miss it anymore). Now we have the second generation of his Tempest V, which went on sale in 2018. The set is made in full accordance with the current technological capabilities of the company, that is, perfection itself. We really liked the level of detailing of the outer surfaces of the consoles and fuselage - a neat cut, everywhere thin and delicate riveting. The set is distinguished by a serious depth of processing of almost all (except for the engine) parts of the assembly and high quality casting. The model is offered in the ProfiPACK edition, which means that a pre-painted photoetch plate and masks for the lamp and chassis wheels are included. Fragments of the markings of six aircraft of the Royal Air Force of Great Britain are placed on the sheet with decals.

glue and paint are not included in the set
