This 1/35 scale model reproduces Goliath. It was a miniature tracked vehicle about 1.5m long that could carry up to 60kg of light explosives and was controlled remotely by 3 cables that rolled from its rear. In total, about 7,564 units were produced, divided into variants with a 12 V battery and a gasoline engine. They were mainly deployed by Assault Pioneer units (Sturmpioneer) and were expected to provide the advantage of surprise. They were used on all fronts, including the German resistance to the Allied invasion of Normandy.
