Volvo FH16 is a Swedish truck belonging to the so-called series. Volvo FH. Cars of this series were first presented to the public in 1993, and their serial production began that year and continues to this day. Their assembly and production takes place in several cities around the world, but the main production facilities are located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The FH series (Volvo FH12 and Volvo FH16) was developed and put into production with the aim of expanding the commercial offer of Volvo Trucks and replacing the very successful and legendary F series on the market. A 12-liter engine was developed - very technological and saturated with electronics, which made Volvo one of the most important manufacturers of internal combustion engines in the world. At the same time, however, in order to reduce the relatively long time of research and development, many proven components and elements from previous series were used, in the best case, their modernization, and new functions were added. Finally, a series of trucks was created, recognized as one of the most successful on the market. According to estimates, more than 400,000 copies were produced. trucks of this series! To date, there have been four generations of FH series trucks.

Volvo F12 is a Swedish truck from the so-called series. Volvo F. Cars of this series were first presented to the public in 1977, and their serial production lasted from 1977 to 1993. The F series cars were produced in Gothenburg, Sweden. The F series was developed and put into production to expand Volvo Trucks' commercial offering. In order to reduce the time of research and development, as well as to reduce their cost, many elements of Volvo trucks of the N series were used. At the same time, however, many innovations were introduced, which at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s. were quite a novelty in this class of cars. First of all, a driver's cabin with a high level of safety and significant ergonomics was used. In 1983, the F series trucks underwent modernization, which mainly included the use of a newer chassis with less weight and increased driver comfort. A spacious "Globetrotter" cabin also became available. Trucks of the F series, including the Volvo F12, had a significant market success, and in the period from 1977 to 1993, more than 200,000 cars of this series were built. The company's offer has been replaced by the FH series.
