This is a 1/72 scale model of the US Navy Vought F4U-1D Corsair - Revell 03983. The Corsair has a reputation as one of the greatest fighters of the US Navy of World War II. Corsair was afraid of Japanese opponents, earning the nickname "Whistling Death". He was loved by the Marines, who called him "Sweet Okinawa". The Corsairs operated in the Pacific from 1943 to 1945, achieving tremendous success against the best Japanese aircraft, primarily due to their superior engine and excellent armament consisting of 6 x 12.7 mm guns. The set consists of 63 parts. When fully assembled, it measures 148 mm in length and 143 mm in width.
