Since the summer of 1943, 91 submarines of the VII C / 41 type were put into operation. At the moment, the operating conditions have completely changed. Pack tactics have rarely resulted in successful tracking of ship convoys and the special U-boat destroyers that are now widely patrolled. In order to be able to better defend against air attacks when they did appear, the Type VII C / 41 submarines received a turret structure that was extended to a large conservatory. This is shown on a true-to-original model with two 20mm lightning bolts and a 37mm M42U rifle. A retractable mast for fresh and exhaust air ducts, designed to move in the model, and four watertight pressure vessels with 5 life rafts were additional features of these submarines. Thanks to better structural steel, the boats could now dive to a height of 250m. The kit included new components representing a wooden deck with engraved pressure vessels and an Atlantic stem. Also worth noting is the highly detailed depiction of the fuselage with rivets and welds. The following submarines can be represented on stickers: U 292, U 318, U 998, U 1004
