The Airbus A320 is a medium-haul twin-engine, low-wing jet airliner, mainly of French-German manufacture. The drive is provided by two CFM International CFM56 or IAE V2500 turbochargers. The flight of the prototype took place in 1987, and serial production began in 1988 and continues to this day. By the beginning of 2016, more than 6,800 aircraft of this type had been produced! The Airbus A320 was created as a machine that had to be offered primarily to European and Asian carriers as a competitor to the Boeing 727. The manufacturer, Airbus, emphasized the use of modern technical equipment in the new machine. state-of-the-art electronics, primarily a wired system, known from military aviation (for example, from F-16 aircraft), but for the first time in a passenger aircraft! New avionics with a glass cockpit and a central flight control system were also used. Only the two-man crew was a complete novelty, which clearly and positively affected the operating costs of the aircraft. In addition, the A320 - compared to the first serial versions - has a flight range of 50% more than that of its main competitor, the Boeing 727. Due to its low reliability and the use of many avant-garde solutions, the A320 turned out to be a great commercial success for Airbus. By 2012, 7 billion aircraft of this type had been transported. man and flew to 120 million hours!
