The North American T-28 is an American single-engine low-flying training aircraft. The first prototype was tested in 1949. After entering service, the old P-51 Mustangs were replaced by these. In 1952, the US Navy ordered the T-28B variant with a more powerful engine and the T-28C variant for training on aircraft carriers. In 1959, a large number of machines of this type were sold to France, where they were converted into planes for attacking armed rebels. They were used in combat during the civil war in Algeria and the Dominican Republic. In the late 1970s, almost all cars of this type were sold to private collectors.
