Assembly model Soviet BMP Trumpeter 01528 Bmp-3 Ifv
The BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle was developed in the 1980s and entered service with the Soviet Army in 1987. Serial production began in the same year and continues to this day (2017) at the Kurgan Machine Factory. According to estimates, more than 2,000 BMP-3s were produced. The machine is equipped with one UTD-29-M diesel engine with a capacity of 500 liters. and can carry up to 7 servicemen. The basic armament of the BMP-3 is very unusual. They are created by: 100-mm 2A70 2A70 gun and 2A72 30-mm automatic gun. Secondary armament is 1 PKT machine gun cal.: 7.62 mm and 1 anti-tank missile launcher 9M117. It is not easy to evaluate the BMP-3 unequivocally. On the one hand, the great advantage of the machine is its significant firepower, which surpasses its competitors from Western armies, as well as relatively high maneuverability and ability to swim. The disadvantages of the BMP-3, especially the early modifications, include a very high failure rate of the machine, especially the drive and transmission systems, as well as the fatal placement of the landing party inside the machine. Despite these shortcomings, the BMP-3 has achieved considerable export success, as Russia has managed to sell it to Kuwait, the UAE and Greece (which is a NATO country!). BMP-3 also entered service with the armed forces of Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
