AS 332 Super Puma is a modern multipurpose medium helicopter produced by the Eurocopter Group consortium (now part of Airbus Helicopters). The flight of the prototype took place in 1978, and in the same year the machine entered service. The helicopter in the SA 332 L1 version has a fuselage of 16.79 meters and a rotor diameter of 16.2 meters. The drive is provided by two Turbomeca Makila 1A2 engines with a capacity of 1845 hp each. each one The helicopter has a classic layout with one main rotor and a propeller on the tail beam.
The AS 332 Super Puma helicopter was developed by the French aviation company Aerospatiale as a follow-up to the highly successful SA 330 Puma designed for both the military and civilian markets. Compared to its predecessor, the car received a completely new power unit, an almost completely redesigned body (although outwardly very similar to the SA 330), a new chassis, and the entire structure was clearly strengthened. Finally, a machine was created, outwardly similar to the SA 330, but it has much greater combat capabilities and better characteristics. During the production process, many modifications were created, including: AS 332 B 1 (the first serial military version), AS 332 C 1 (a marine version designed for search and rescue tasks) or AS 332 F 1 (a marine version of a helicopter designed for decision of combat tasks). The AS 332 machine gained considerable popularity and in various versions was or continues to be operated in such countries as Brazil, Canada, Germany and Norway.
