Eurofighter Typhoon or EF-2000 is a project of a consortium consisting of three concerns: Alenai Aeronautica, BAE Systems and EADS. The Eurofighter of four nations has a low delta wing with a duck tail. Its main task is air combat and attack from the limits of visibility. It can also attack ground targets. Eurofighter is characterized by high maneuverability in supersonic flights. Modern engines allow it to fly at supersonic speeds without the use of an afterburner. The Typhoon is armed with an internal 27mm Mauser BK27 cannon. Thirteen under-wing (4 + 4) and under-fuselage (5) units are equipped with BVRAAM (air-to-air missile, attacking beyond the limits of visibility), ASRAAM (advanced air-to-air missile), Storm missiles (air-to-ground ) can be attached. Shadow or Taurus. The Typhoon's arsenal also includes Brimstone and DWS 37 air-to-surface missiles, as well as laser bombs (laser designator required). The on-board weapons control system monitors, checks and launches the arsenal mounted under the wings. The EF-2000 target is an integrated Electromagnetic Emissions and Jamming Detection System (ESM / ECM) called DASS, it consists of active jamming heads, radiation detecting antennas, forward and rear warning stations (RWR), and a thermal (flare) and radar. (flare) launch system (dipoles). Detection / tracking is carried out (similarly to the Russian MiG-29) by two systems. The first is a forward facing thermal sensor (FLIR) that works in conjunction with the IRST thermal detection and tracking system. The second pair of eyes is, of course, the ECR 90 multifunctional Doppler radar operating in the X-band. It is created by the Euroradar consortium consisting of the British company Marconi Electronic Systems, ENOSA from Spain, FIAR from Italy and Daimler Chrysler Aerospace (DASA) from Germany. The Eurofighter pilot sits in a cockpit equipped with voice control. In addition, there are approximately 25 control buttons on the throttle and handle. Information is presented on the multi-function reflective display MHUD and three color multi-function displays MHDD on the console. It is complemented by the HMS helmet-mounted presentation system. A Martin Baker Mk16A type 0-0 ejection seat was used. Since the aircraft is statically unstable, the on-board computer is directly controlled by the control surfaces and airfoil mechanization via the digital flight system. The EFA is powered by two twin-jet Eurojet EJ200 engines, each producing 60 kN of thrust and 90 kN of afterburner each. The engines have digital control. Technical data: Maximum speed: 2124 km/h, rate of climb: 315 m/s, maximum ceiling 19812 m, maximum flight range: 3790 km, armament: stationary - 1 Mauser gun, caliber 27 mm, suspended - up to 7500 kg. Paints and glue are not included in the set.
