Model car 1/24 Mitsubishi Starion Gr.A 1985 Inter TEC in Fuji Speedway PN24031 On November 10, 1985, this Japanese domestic manufacturer demonstrated its power in the INTER TEC Group A International Touring Car Endurance Championship held at Japan's Fuji Speedway. Japan's Group A Touring Car Series began in 1985, influenced by its popularity overseas, and the 1985 series finale was INTER TEC. It was also an opportunity for domestic teams to test their abilities. The result surprised domestic manufacturers and fans with a big difference between foreign cars and teams. Motorsport magazines of the time referred to the impact as "Perry's Expedition into Japanese Motorsport". The car that came to the expedition from abroad was a Volvo 240 Turbo that won the European Touring Car Championship (ETC) in 1985. The Volvo 240 Turbo had a very conventional sedan body known as the "Flying Brick" which showed the vast majority. In the qualifying round, the Volvo 240 Turbo beat the Japanese teams by a wide margin, and in the final, the Volvo 240 Turbo extended its lead right from the start and won the race with a perfect race that did not give the rivals any chance. Among the rivals, the Mitsubishi Starion rose to the top of Japanese cars as a representative of the Japanese team. The Mitsubishi Starion was developed on the basis of the Starion GSR, a special coupe announced in 1982. 1997cc SOHC inline 4 engine. It has rear-wheel drive, and the suspension is both front and rear. Due to the Group A strategy, the Mitsubishi Starion has been actively involved in overseas Group A races. The Mitsubishi Satrion developed its skills mainly in the BTCC in Great Britain. Group A's Starion returned to Japan and debuted at INTEC TEC in November 1985. Strarion collected 3 cars from the UK team, the Hong Kong team and the Australian team that were active overseas. Starion of Ralliart England from Great Britain finished third behind the two Volvos in qualifying. In the Ralliart Hong Kong final, the Stallion beat England's career-ending problems to finish fourth and put in its best performance for a Japanese car. After that, the Mitsubishi Starion continued to actively participate in touring races in Japan in 1986 and 1987.
