Assembled model 1/32 Junkers Ju EF-126 "Elli" / EF-127 "Walli" 3 in 1 Das Werk DW32001 Position number: DW32001 Product details Highly detailed static plastic model (1 of 3 versions) Detailed cockpit Factory fuselage cradle Additional landing sled position 7 different labeling options Bonus: takeoff/ground cart Engines Three possible versions can be created. EF-127 Walther 509C1 engine EF-126 Single Argus EF-126 Double Argus The Junkers Ef-126 / Ef-127 was an experimental fighter that was proposed in response to the "Jägernotprogramm" or "Emergency Fighter Program" request issued by the Luftwaffe High Command. The type had 2 151mm MG guns on each side of the cockpit (similar to the He162 Salamander). Although the initial design was to use a single Argus As 014 pulse jet engine, it quickly became apparent that it was underpowered in this configuration. Various alternative powerplant options were explored, including a twin Argus As 014 configuration, a Walther 509C rocket engine similar to that fitted to the Me263 experimental fighter, and a single Jumo 226 pulse jet. The type was built using wood for the flying surfaces with an aluminum fuselage and key structural members. The 4 Schmidding rocket boosters were arranged in a circle around the tail of the fuselage, similar to the Bachem Natter Ba 349, another design introduced to meet the requirements of the Emergency Fighter Program to allow the Ef-126 / Ef-127 to take off under its own power with a wheeled bogie. Landing was made easier by the addition of a retractable skid and fixed wingtip skids. Our kit The Das Werk Ef-126 / Ef-127 kit is designed to create one of three basic versions, with the possibility of many variations of the final configuration. It can be built with or without launch vehicles, in a take-off configuration (sitting on a trolley), in a landing configuration (with the landing gear deployed), in a factory assembly configuration (with or without engines installed in a wooden factory ). cradle) and in a number of different tail configurations. Although the Ef-126 / Ef-127 never saw combat action, we think it's a nice design aircraft that would look quite attractive in a variety of late war paint and marking schemes, so we've included 7 different markings and paint schemes. Although decal placement and profiles show the Ef-126 Dual Argus configuration, the markings can be applied to any version. We hope you have fun letting your imagination run wild and exploring the possibilities.
