The M1135 Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Reconnaissance Vehicle (NBCRV) provides nuclear, biological, and chemical detection and surveillance for threat visualization on the battlefield. NBCRV provides situational awareness to enhance the combat power of the Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT). [3] The core of the NBCRV is an embedded NBC sensor suite and an integrated meteorological system. The positive overpressure NBC system (where the internal air pressure is higher than the external air pressure, rather than the other way around) minimizes cross-contamination of samples and detection instruments, provides crew protection, and enables extended operations on MOPP 0 .
