Assembled model 1/35 armored personnel carrier russian BTR-60PA Trumpeter 01543 BTR-60 is the first family of 8-wheeled armored personnel carriers in the Soviet Union. It began to replace the BTR-152, which was in service in the late 1950s. BTR-60 first appeared in public in 1961. The first model of the BTR-60 series, the BTR-60P, entered service with the former Soviet Army on December 13, 1959. Serial production began in 1960. The first BTR-60P were delivered in 1960. First there was the Soviet Army, and then the Marine Corps. In the early 1960s, it began to replace the BTR-152 as the standard armored personnel carrier. BTR-60P was discovered in the West in 1961. Among the subsequent models, the BTR-60PA began to enter the former Soviet army in 1963, and the BTR-60PB entered service in 1966.
