BTR-55 - modern South Lebanese tracked APC. The drive was provided by one diesel engine with a capacity of 580 liters. The length of the car was 6.6 meters with a width of 3.27 meters. The combat weight was up to 31.5 tons. The machine was armed with three 7.62-mm Browning machine guns. BTR-55 was created for the army of South Lebanon - a military formation that operated in Lebanon from the mid-1970s to 2000 and supported the state of Israel. BTR-55 was developed taking into account the transfer of T-54/55 trophy tanks to Israel. It is interesting that the towers were not dismantled, but the guns were removed and small-caliber weapons were installed in their place, which significantly increased the space inside the machine. In total, two machine gun positions were added on the sides of the tower. However, elements such as the engine, suspension and transmission remained. It is believed that about 30 cars were converted, but the exact number is unknown.
