Krupp L3H163 Kfz.72 Germany began to build a modern army after 1933. An important part of the motorization of the Wehrmacht was the production of three-axle 3-ton trucks. One of them was Krupp L3H63. Produced since 1931. The Krupp L3H163 modification (1936-1938) had a 6-cyl. with a capacity of 110 hp gasoline engine and air brakes. A total of about 2000 Krupp L3H63 and L3H163 were produced. Krupp L3H163 trucks were widely used by all German troops until 1942. Some chassis had special bodies. One of them was the body of a van Kfz.72. These machines were used as transmitters and receivers in powerful A/B mobile radio stations.
