15 cm Panzerwerfer 42 auf Sf, or Sd.Kfz.4/1 according to the through system of Wehrmacht markings, is a German self-propelled MLRS of the Second World War period. It was created in 1942 on the basis of the Opel Maultier semi-tracked truck. A total of 600 cars were ordered, 300 of each variant. During serial production in 1943-1944, 300 Sd.Kfz were produced. 4/1, as well as 289 ammunition carriers to them Sd.Kfz. 4 of the same base. By the end of 1943, 248 launchers and 232 ammunition carriers were produced, and in 1944 - 52 launchers and 57 ammunition carriers, another 10 chassis were in unequipped condition. There is information that in July 1944, 19 ammunition carriers were equipped with launchers. Sd.Kfz.4/1 were actively used by German troops until the end of the war, but due to their relative small number, they did not have a serious impact on the course of hostilities.
