Assembled model 1/35 German Figures Fallschirmjager Regiment 3 (Sicily 1943) Dragon D6195 After the successful Allied invasion of Sicily in July 1943, the Allies launched an amphibious assault on the Italian mainland in September of that year. The campaign in Italy was marked by fierce fighting and considerable resistance by the German army, which had been greatly strengthened after the fall of Sicily.
