Sd.Kfz. 165 "Hummel" - German 150-mm assault rifle of the Second World War. Sd.Kfz. 165 was developed by Alkett engineers in 1943 on the chassis of a special tracked vehicle GW III / IV. This vehicle was the last major self-propelled gun developed by the Alkett company. In total, from 1943 to 1945, about seven hundred Hummel self-propelled guns were produced (Russians read "Hummel" because there is no "g" sound in them). This 150mm self-propelled gun was a powerful and effective weapon. The self-propelled gun was designed to hit any targets, so its firepower was very high. But industry could not fully satisfy all the army’s needs.
