The Jagpanzer 38(D) was developed in 1944 as a successor to the Hetzer tank. A reinforced suspension and a new, improved engine were expected. The main feature was the addition of the 75 mm PaK 42 L / 70 as the main gun in the casemate. The frontal armor was 60 mm, and the maximum speed was 40 km/h.
