The Magach 6 was an Israeli tank of post-war and modern times. The first machines of this type appeared in service in the mid-1970s. Armament consisted of one 105-mm gun, two 7.62-mm and 12.7-mm Browning machine guns and a 60-mm light mortar. In the 1960s, the Israeli army began to equip its armored forces with the new M48 tanks, imported mainly from the USA, and from 1970 - the M60 Patton. At that time, these were modern machines, but the experience of the Israeli army during the Yom Kippur War (1973) showed that these machines had shortcomings. To correct them, it was decided to introduce numerous modifications into them, which led to the creation, among others, of the Magach 6 tank. The Magach 6 tanks are based on the M60, M60A1 and M60A3 machines. All of them have the so-called Urdan command tower and dynamic armor "Blazer". In addition to the basic version, there were other modifications, among which: Magach 6 B (with AVDS-1790-2C RISE engine), Magach 6 B Gal (version with Gal fire control system) or Magach 6 B Gal Batach (version with SKO Gal, new armor and a different shape of the tower). Machines of this type took part mainly in the operation in Lebanon in 1982. Paint and glue are not included in the set.
