Type 320 (W142) Saloon German staff car of World War II The Typ 320 (W142) passenger car was the middle of Daimler-Benz's pre-war model range. From 1937 to 1942, 4037 cars were produced. At the beginning of the war, most of the Typ 320 (W142) machines were requisitioned and used as personal transport for senior officers and generals of the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe.
