KrAZ-255 is a Ukrainian military truck. The first copies of this car appeared in the mid-1960s, and serial production lasted from 1967 to 1994. The drive is provided by one 8-cylinder engine. YaMZ-238 with a capacity of 240 liters. The KrAZ-255 was developed and produced at the Ukrainian plant "AvtoKraz" as a development of the KrAZ-214. Compared to the original, several changes were made, including improved braking and pneumatic systems, as well as a more powerful engine. KrAZ-255 was distinguished by significant traction power, good load capacity and high mobility even on difficult terrain. Many specialized vehicles, such as the technical support car, were developed on its basis. These cars were widely used in Warsaw Pact countries (including Poland), but were also exported to many Third World countries. As a curiosity, it is worth noting that the average fuel consumption per 100 kilometers of travel reached 42 liters.
