Assembled model 1/48 helicopter MH-53E Sea Dragon Academy 12703

The CH-53E Super Stallion is the largest and heaviest helicopter in the US military. Like the Sikorsky S-80, it was developed on the basis of the CH-53 Sea Stallion, by installing a third engine, adding a seventh blade to the main propeller and tilting the tail rotor by 20 degrees. It was built by Sikorsky Aircraft for the US Marine Corps. Less commonly, the MH-53E Sea Dragon is used by the US Navy as a long-range minesweeper or for mine countermeasures (AMCM) operations, and is also used as a Navy military transport helicopter. The CH-53K King Stallion is currently under development and will feature new engines, new composite rotors and a larger cockpit.
