The Focke Wulf Ta183A "Huckebein" is a late World War II German mixed metal and wood mid-wing, swept-wing jet fighter. The contract for its production was signed in February 1945, and the first aircraft was supposed to be ready in September of the same year. The end of hostilities prevented these plans. Also, none of the prototypes were fully finished. In the serial version, it was planned that the drive would be a Heinkel Hirth HeS 011A jet engine. The Ta-183 was also supposed to use not only stationary airborne weapons, but also X-4 or Hs-298 air-to-air missiles. After the war, the Ta-183 became a source of inspiration for the MiG-15 and had a strong influence on the designers of the Swedish SAAB 29 Tunnan aircraft.
