Prefab model 1/48 aircraft Gloster Meteor F.8 Airfix A09182A In many ways, the Gloster Meteor can be considered the British jet equivalent of the Spitfire, the first fighter of the new type, which continued to patrol British skies for many years after its introduction to the squadron in July 1944.
The later F.8 variant was perhaps the most effective version of the Meteor and for five years after its introduction it formed the backbone of British fighter aircraft.
