Mitsubishi F1M - Japanese biplane reconnaissance and surveillance seaplane with an all-metal construction of the Second World War. The flight of the prototype took place in 1936, and the creator of the plane was engineer Joji Hattori. However, due to engine problems in 1940, the aircraft was put into mass production. A total of two versions of this aircraft were built with the 875 km Nakajima Hikari-1 engine. The first (F1M2) performed mainly the functions of reconnaissance, patrolling and special operations, operating both from ship catapults and from permanent bases. The second, F1M2-K is a training variant. In the period 1940-1945, 1118 copies of this aircraft were built.
