Hobby Boss 81768 1:48 YAK-28PP Brewer-E aircraft

The Yakovlev Yak-28 was a Soviet-made metal-engine jet, medium bomber, fighter, and reconnaissance aircraft with a cantilevered center wing. The drive was provided by two Tumanski R-11 jet engines. The flight of the prototype took place in 1958, and serial production continued in the USSR from 1959 to 1972. According to estimates, about 1,200 copies of this car were produced for him. Yakovlev's Yakovlev Yak-28, despite its external similarity to the Yak-25, was not based on its design, although it used some of its components. In the course of serial production, many experimental versions were created. The first (Yak-28A) allowed the use of radar-guided missiles. Shortly thereafter, a version of the Yak-28I was developed with much better electronics and a radar system. A training variant (Yak-28U) with a double cockpit was also created. In 1963, a prototype of the review version (Yak-28P) was tested, mainly based on the Yak-28I model. Since 1964, a variant of the fighter (Yak-28P) was serially produced, which could use modern AA-3 Anab missiles. Yakovlev's Yak-28 was not exported, and some versions of this successful aircraft were retired in the 1980s.
