Prefab model 1/48 jet plane F-16C Block 25/42 USAF Kinetic K48102 This brand new set consists of over 500 gray plastic parts, 26 clear plastic parts and markings for three aircraft. Although the number of parts looks large, many of them are spare and optional - about 250 parts are for ammo alone - so you will only use a relatively modest number of parts. The surface textures are world class - very thin and crisp panel lines, complemented by matching recessed rivets. The cabin is well appointed with a detailed tub, built-in side consoles and a dash with raised screens, bezels and switches. The ACES II pilot's ejection seat looks great, though you'll need to BYO harnesses. Undercarriage compartment detailing is also well done with separate fore and aft bulkheads and raised hydraulic lines and cables. The transparent parts are thin and do not deform. The canopy can be open or closed. Three labeling options are offered: F-16C Block 25, 147th Fighter Wing Texas ANG, 2007, two-tone gray. F-16C Block 25, 148th Fighter Wing, Minnesota, England, 2008, two-tone gray. F-16C Block 42, 112th Fighter Wing, Ohio, England, 2020, finished in Have Glass Dark Gray Metallic. The decals are designed by Fightertown Decals in collaboration with Bullseye Decals and perfectly printed by Cartograf. This is a great set. Think of Kinetic's excellent F-104 kits, and this one raised the bar even further in my opinion. The model scores highly in every category – its understated surface textures, high level of detail, useful options, full ammo loadout and excellent decal sheets printed by Cartograf.
