General-Dynamics F16 Falcon is an American single-engine light aircraft and attack aircraft. Work on the F-16 project began in 1971 at the General Dynamics concern (which in 1993 entered the warehouse of the giant Lockheed Martin), taking part in the competition for the Light Weightlifting Vehicle (LWF) for the US Air Force. The YF-16 prototype made its first flight on February 2, 1974. A technical breakthrough was the introduction of a computerized fly-by-wire control system, which made it possible to change the area of the wing and tail, and therefore change the air of the entire flight. The F-16 became the first in the world to have such a system. The first versions were largely manufactured from aluminum alloys (about 83% of the total structure), and then they were replaced by composites. Different versions of the F-16 are equipped with three engine options: Pratt-Whitney F-100-PW-200, General Electric F110-GE100 and Pratt-Whitney F-100-PW-2020. The “brain” of the guidance system was the APG-66 radar, later replaced by the APG-68(B) radar. Varto notes that the design of the YF-16 has appeared so far, that it won not only the LWF competition from the United States (in cooperation with the Northrop YF-17 aircraft), and it won a hundred-year contract for a large scale aircraft for the European countries of NATO. Yogo superniki cars Dassault Mirage F.1 and SAAB J-37 Viggen. Serial production of the F-16 began in 1975. The European countries of NATO also took part in this, which involved the introduction of new aviation technologies. The rest of the work was carried out in the USA, Belgium and the Netherlands. The first production F-16A Fighting Falcon took off on September 7, 1978. This is an attack version of the F-16, primarily intended for combat against ground targets. The F-16 also proved itself in combat, having achieved a number of victories during the war in Lebanon (1982) and during Operation Storm in the Desert (1991). For example, at the end of the 20th century, more than 4,000 successful pilots were produced. There were six main modifications of the F-16, designated A, C, E (single-axle) and B, D, F (double-axle). On the basis of these six models, numerous modernizations are being created, which are most often associated with the replacement of the BREO, designated as “Block”. Since 2006, the F-16 has also served with Polish aviation. The Polish Ministry of Defense believed that the F-16 would become the backbone of the Air Force, which would be modernized, inspired by the proposals of Dessault and SAAB, although in this case it would include the Mirrage F2000 and JAS-39 Grippen. Absolutely, most of the money, was deposited by an American company within the framework of the so-called. mutual favor. Technical data: Maximum speed: 2170 km/year, lift: 254 m/s, maximum range 15240 m, maximum range: 3890 km, armored: stationary - one 20-mm six-barrel gun M61A-1, Yes - up to 927
