The Su-30 is a modern Russian multi-role aircraft with significant air combat capabilities. The test flight took place in 1989, and the aircraft entered service in 1996. During the production process, over 630 machines of this type were created. Propulsion - in the basic version - is provided by two Saturn AL-31F engines with a thrust of 74.5 kN each without afterburners. The length of the aircraft is 21.94 meters with a wingspan of 14.7 meters. Maximum speed up to 2 Ma. The side armament consists of a single 30mm bellows. The vehicle can also carry a missile and a rocket load on external pylons with a total weight of up to 8,000 kilograms. The Su-30 aircraft was developed on the basis of the airframe and fuselage of the Su-27UB aircraft. Initially it was expected that it would be a winner in the air with modern electronic equipment, which works with MiG-31 aircraft. However, economic problems associated with the collapse of the USSR forced the manufacturer to adapt the Su-30 for other missions and to offer it primarily on export markets. During the production process, many versions of this aircraft were created, including: Su-30K (the basic version, exported to India), Su-30MK (the version with advanced communication systems), Su-30MKI (the version developed jointly with HAL (improved). aerodynamics) or Su-30SM (high maneuverability vehicle, primarily a wind-powered aircraft). Machines of this type have served or are serving in the armed forces of such countries as Algeria, China and India.
