Assembled model 1/72 US M2A2 ODS Bradley w/Interior Dragon D7414 The M2 / M3 Bradley is a modern American infantry fighting vehicle (IPV). The first prototypes of the car were made in 1976, and serial production, which began in 1980, continues to this day. According to estimates, by the beginning of 2018, about 6,800 cars of this type had been produced. The Bradley is equipped with a 500 hp Cummins VTA-903T or VTA-903 engine. and 600 hp in accordance. It is armed with one M242 25mm automatic cannon, one M240 7.62mm machine gun, and one TOW dual-guidance missile launcher. The M2/M3 Bradley was originally developed as a new infantry fighting vehicle for the US Army to replace the M113. During its design, special emphasis was placed on the possibility of interaction on the battlefield with M1 Abrams tanks, better armament than the M113, maximum possible mobility and high reliability. It is interesting that the armor of the new BMP was not of particular importance, which led to the fact that the first serial batches had a significant part of the body made of aluminum. In the late 1970s, still at the test stage, the command of the US Army decided to use the M2 to develop the M3 combat vehicle, which is very difficult to distinguish from its "relative". During serial production, several versions of M2 cars were created. The first major upgrade was the M2A1 version, which had a twin-tube TOW launcher (instead of one). Later, a version of the M2A2 was created that had reinforced armor, with the ability to use dynamic armor and a new 600 horsepower engine. Finally, the last—at least for now—was the M2A3 version, which was even more heavily armored and received much more advanced electronics. M2 / M3 machines are equipped only in Saudi Arabia and the USA. They also participated in several conflicts, most notably Operation Desert Storm in 1990-1991.
