Detailed parts Transparent parts Laser rays in the form of green transparent parts The figure of the pilot Display The TIE Interceptor is a space fighter from the Star Wars universe that first appeared on the screen in the 1983 film Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (Episode VI). It is assumed that the car was approx. 9.6 m long, approx. 6.4 m wide and approx. Height 4.9 m. The drive was provided by a double ion engine, and the armament consisted of four interconnected laser cannons. The TIE Interceptor was a far-reaching development of the Empire's primary fighter, the TIE Fighter. Compared to its predecessor, it was distinguished by even better maneuverability, clearly strengthened on-board weapons and a slightly strengthened structure. From the very beginning, it was designed as an "air superiority" machine and the main opponent of the very successful and effective X-WING machines (Incom T-65). During hostilities, machines of this type are used as long-range cover for their own, heavier ships and bombers.
