PzKpfw III (Panzerkampfwagen III) is a German medium tank from the Other Light War. The first and last examples of the car were produced in 1936, and serial production continued in the period 1937-1943, ending with the production of approximately 5,800 cars. The tank in version E is equipped with one Maybach HL 120 TRM engine with a power of 300 horsepower. It is equipped with one 37 mm KwK 35/36 gun and two 7.92 mm MG 34 machine guns. PzKpfw III was the “workhorse” of the German armored forces during the Second World War and one of the most intensively divided and modernized tanks of the Wehrmacht. Its serial production began in 1936, during which many variants of this tank were created. Chronologically, the first version was version A, equipped with a 37 mm valve and a 230 horsepower engine. It was then in 1938 that version E was created, which became the first version released in the great series. It has a new, significantly heavier engine, a completely new suspension and increased armor in the front part of the turret and hull. Later (from the beginning of 1940) the wine was also equipped with a tighter 50 mm clamp. In the late 1940s, version G began to be released, in which the armor of the aft part of the hull and legs was strengthened. In early 1940, production of the H version began, which was armored with a 50-mm KwK 38 L / 42 gun and slightly reinforced frontal armor. One of the most damaged was the J version, which had a small armor thickness of up to 50 mm (hereinafter reinforced with applications), and after complete work with the T-34 and KW-1 vehicles, they were intensively rebuilt for the K armor. wK 39 L / 60. cal. 50 mm. The remaining version was version N, which was a small tank supporting armored grenadiers and was equipped with a 75-mm short-barreled gun KwK 37 L / 24. A lot of other transport capabilities were installed on the PzKpfw III chassis, for example, an assault gun and StuG III. PzKpfw III tanks were fought on practically all fronts of the Other World War - from the Spring Campaign of 1939, through the campaign in France in 1940, Operation Barbarossa and Typhoon in 1941, the Battle of Kursk 1943 and until the remaining operations of the German troops. armies against the USSR and foreign allies in 1944-1945.
