Introduced in 1978, the Mazda Savanna RX-7 was designed to be a true driving pleasure, and it achieved this with a 130 hp twin-rotor engine in a mid-engine layout, perfect weight balance and a stunning wedge-shaped body with retractable headlights. In 1980, the model received updates that included an aerodynamic integrated urethane bumper and overall lightweight construction, while the most luxurious SE Limited version offered a sunroof, air conditioning, bucket seats and aluminum wheels. By the time the second generation was released, 470,000 RX-7s had been produced, which is the best testament to its wild popularity. This 1/24 scale plastic kit (length 183 mm, width 76 mm) stylishly recreates the design of the top-of-the-line SE Limited version, allowing the position of the headlights and sunroof to be changed after assembly. The model has a detailed interior, realistic imitation of the suspension and underbody, tires with synthetic rubber tread, and is also equipped with a driver figure, decals, and window masks.
