Assembly model 1:72 Gotha Go 244B-1 German Transport Aircraft IBG 72577

The Gotha Go 244B-1 was a German transport aircraft that was developed during World War II based on the Gotha Go 242 cargo glider.

Unlike the glider, the Go 244B-1 was equipped with two French Gnome-Rhône 14M radial engines. This allowed it to take off and land independently, transforming it from a glider into a full-fledged aircraft.

It was intended for the same purposes as the Go 242: transporting troops or cargo. However, due to its weak engines (which led to low speed and limited payload) and vulnerability, the Go 244 did not gain widespread use and was withdrawn from service after a short time.
