The Rolling Ball Timer was designed using the escapement mechanism concept directly from Leonardo's sketches. The set uses the principles of gravity and kinetics to scan time. In addition, it uses very precise gears to power a platform "rocker" that pushes the sphere as it completes its journey. The timer shows how the principles of dynamics are applied and is a real treat.
