Type 320 (W142) Soft Top
German staff car 2SV with raised awning The passenger car Mercedes-Benz 320, which also had the designation W142, was created in the design bureau of the Daimler-Benz AG company, its production began in 1937. It had a six-cylinder engine with a volume of 3.2 liters (3.4 liters in later versions) with a capacity of 78 horsepower. The model was produced with a short (2880 mm) or long (3300 mm) wheelbase and various body options. The Cabriolet body variant was produced in a version with a long wheelbase. The four-seater version of this version had two doors and four side windows, the roof of the car was soft and could be folded down for weather protection. This vehicle was often seen in the Wehrmacht, with some of them retaining civilian license plates. It was used as a staff car, and it was also used to transport senior command staff.
